Qualifications and experience
I have a degree in Relational Psychotherapeutic Counselling and have worked both in private practice and in an NHS setting. I have great experience working with a wide range of clients and issues.
I am a Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy and am bound by their code of conduct and ethics.
My Approach
I see every client as unique and would aim to work with you to make the therapy as effective as possible. My training incorporates many different approaches, including person-centred therapy, psychodynamic therapy and CBT. This means I can adapt to your individual needs and personality. I can work with individuals or couples/other relationships and am also happy to work either short or long term to suit your life (and budget).
I have an informal style (no couches and clipboards) and clients are always treated with warmth and respect. A good working relationship is essential to effective therapy so I encourage clients to try an initial session (and possibly try out other therapists as well) before committing to therapy.
